Okay, dear dear fans...The good news is that I got to go to the beach with Daddy and the kids....I barked and barked and BARKED at those nasty white things.  I love the salty water but ohhhhh my!! how my insides churn and burn on the backside.   We stayed for hours and I was pooped out--literally and figuratively.

The bad news is that after I got home from the beach I learned it was a TRICK!!!   It was all part of Daddy's mad plot to give me a bath and a grooming using Aussie Mom's brushing techniques/torture.   And after two hours of brushing over two days....this is how i felt.

Seriously, I really felt like a zombie and was ready to eat the next person who even thought of brushing me!  But I never ate anybody..... yet (insert maniacal laugh here).

Okay, okay....maybe I exaggerate JUST a tad....honestly, Daddy keeps telling me is for my own good.  And you know...do NOT tell him....but I am beginning to think that he is right.  Because now I have more good news...Look at me!

  1. Hello Princess, you do look gorgeous, between you and your brothers hair, your family has some stunning features. We are now awaiting our new arrival, 2 sleeps to go. Its so exciting. Already we have a big weekend planned. Our baby arrives at around 5.00pm WA time on Friday, on Saturday we are going to Mt Barker to introduce him to the locals, Sunday is Pony club and Monday is up to Perth to take Elizabeth back to boarding school and show the puppy to the boys in Perth, then its home on Tuesday. The little guy is going to be so spoilt. All is nearly in readiness, the vet has ordered in the food, and Friday morning Elizabeth and I will go to the local pet shop to pick up a new feed bowl and toys. We will send pictures as soon as possible. Love Lisa

  2. Hey Princess Matilda, I am Lord Heymish Danby writing to you from my new home in Kendenup Western Australia. You may call me Your Lordship (everybody does) and I will call your Princess. I believe that your father is my grandather so I think that makes you my aunt, so yes we are family. I have been with my new humans for a week now, they are lovely but still require training. I don't understand why it is necessary for me to go out to the green stuff to do my business when there is a perfectly good brown floor right where I am. The little fluff ball they call Bootz doesn't seem to like me very much, keeps growling and will not let me play with his tail. I am sure I will grow on him as I a soooooo cute (ask all the people who made a trip into the workplace to meet me). My mum does this funny thing called mopping every day and some nights too, she tells me I'm naughty and puts me outside. I have met these big things called horses, I get locked up when our Elizabeth rides (for my own benefit I'm told) I have however had one ride, its a long way off the ground. I had to have a bath yesterday and then had to stand on the table outside and have this thing with teeth bite me, not pleasant but have been assured it is a necessary evil. Speaking of evil, we have these little things that people call kittens, not very friendly, they don't play and all they do is hiss at me and the big one is really evil she swiped me with her front paw and has nasty claws. Not going near her again. I seem to spend a lot of time travelling here, I have been into work in the car, been to Perth in the big car and have been to another farm in the Ute. The ute would be cool if I was allowed to ride on the back with the other dogs, but no daddy puts me in the front and I am not even allowed the window down cause he is worried I might jump out, as if! I have been told all about DigB, sounds like he was a great dog, the humans have pictures of him on the walls, I barked a greeting at first, I thought he was real, apparently it was just a 3D canvas of him, looks real to me. Anyway I need to go help with the washing, this is fun cause I jump up and try and pull it off, mum likes to fold it all up and put it in different places. So post something soon.

    Love
    Lord Heymish Danby

  3. Oh, Your Lordship....welcome to the wonderful world of royalty among the two-legged. Please, Your Grace, always remember that your job in life is to provide endless joy and laughter so that these amazing creatures will spoil you forever!! Today for instance, I woke up and got to lick Daddy's head for about 30 minutes....he was still in bed which is a special treat for us as he usually is out and about early...It's one of the simple tasks we royals must do (but of course secretly I love it). LIke you, I had to learn go do my royal business out of the house. But I learned to just hold it in for hours and hours and then I don't have to leave my Daddy's side very often....Enjoy your horses and little people
